Lucovital® Bacterial vaginosis

Dosage and use (for adults): Lucovital® Bacterial vaginosis comes in hygienic single use applicators to facilitate insertion into the vagina. It is best to use Lucovital® Bacterial vaginosis before bedtime when lying down. This reduces potential leakage. It may be helpful to wear a panty liner, as it is common to notice slight leakage. Use immediately after opening.

1. 1. Break off and remove the end tab.
   2. Sit or lie in a comfortable position and gently insert the neck ofthe applicator into the vagina as far as it will comfortably go.
   3. Gently squeeze the applicator to release the contents.
   4. Remove the tube while still squeezing it, and discard

      Mode of action: Lucovital® Bacterial vaginosis is inserted by a single use applicator into the vagina, where it dissolves and promotes the restoration of the natural physiological intra- vaginal conditions and healthy growth of the normal bacteria. The active ingredient is lactic acid which creates an environment unfavourable to the excessive growth of potentially pathogenic bacteria and fungi and favours the establishment of an aciduric and acidogenic flora, and enhances the growth of desirable bacteria by the formation of lactic acid on the fermentation of carbohydrates. Lactic acid permits pH control to within the optimal range (usually pH 4.0 – 4.5). The lactic acid contributes to vaginal acidity.

      Possible side effects: Lactic acid is safe and tolerable. Common side effects are vaginal symptoms such as itching and/or a burning sensation.

      Use during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding: As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this product.

      Do not use Lucovital® Bacterial vaginosis: If you are hyper- sensitive to one or more of the ingredients

      Ingredients: Aqua, Propylene Glycol, Xanthan gum, Glycerin, Lactic Acid, Sodium Levulinate , Sodium Lactate, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Galactoarabinan, Sodium Anisate.

      Contents: 7 vaginal tubes of 5 ml
